Meet The Author
Dr. Beth Baughman DuPree, M.D. is board-certified in general surgery and integrative and holistic medicine with thirty-five plus years of experience in the surgical care and management of breast cancer. Her career has been committed to treating diseases of the breast with state-of-the art western medical technology. She is a passionate advocate for promoting true healing of the body mind and spirit of all her patients. In 2007, she created the Healing Consciousness Foundation (HCF) to fill a void in her patients care. She recognized that standard western medical cancer care was not providing the healing modalities for her patients that could help them find true healing after a devastating diagnosis breast cancer. Patients were left fearful of recurrence, grappling with the existential crisis that a cancer diagnosis brings and left with out resources.
She used generous donations form grateful patients and the proceeds from her book, The Healing Consciousness: A Doctors Journey to Healing published in 2006, to start the HCF.
Dr. DuPree earned her medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and her undergraduate degrees in behavioral neuroscience and the history and philosophy of science at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and has served as an adjunct assistant professor of surgery at the University of Pennsylvania training young breast surgical oncology fellows. Dr DuPree works part time at Redeemer Health, Huntingdon Valley, PA, an MD Anderson Cancer Affiliate, and is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer of Innerstill Health, Caliber Medical and Gateway Sciences.
She holds a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research from CIIS (California institute for Integral Studies), A certification from MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies) and a certificate in Psychedelic Practitioner Core Training from Synthesis Institute. Dr DuPree is committed to bring transformative technologies to the forefront of western medicine to promote mental well-being, address the mental health crisis and opioid addiction.
