The Love Hole in My Heart by Jan Cope
The Love Hole in My Heart by Jan Cope

Meet The Author
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Jan Cope now lives in Warren, Ohio, and recently retired after forty years in Occupational Therapy. She and her late husband, Craig, were married for thirty-seven years. Their story—and the love and care of their three children and granddaughters—inspired this heartfelt book about loss and healing.
The story was especially inspired by their oldest granddaughter, Blakely, whose courage and love brought it to life. Through this legacy of love, Jan hopes to bring comfort and joy to young readers who have lost someone special and are learning how to mend the love hole in their hearts.
Blakely is an energetic and caring little girl who lovingly helped care for her Papa, Craig, in many special ways. With fearless ambition and an uninhibited spirit, she was always close by his side during his final season—snuggling up to him, offering comfort, and reassuring him with her own sweet words that everything would be just fine. Creating this book has been part of Blakely’s own journey of grief, understanding, and healing after the loss of her Papa.
